The Shenakht Journal is a quarterly, double-blind, peer-reviewed publication devoted to a wide spectrum of philosophical fields, including Islamic philosophy, Iranian philosophy, ontology, epistemology, contemporary philosophy, phenomenology, philosophy of art and aesthetics, Illuminationism, mystical philosophy, scholastic Islamic theology, transcendent theosophy, as well as the legacies of Mulla Sadra, Avicenna, and Averroes.
The journal pursues two primary goals:
Disseminating methodologically rigorous new ideas in philosophy.
Providing a constructive forum for criticism and debate.
Shenakht is committed to freedom of thought, plurality of perspectives, and academic professionalism. Recognizing universities and research centers as key venues of intellectual renewal, the journal warmly invites researchers to contribute by authoring and reviewing valuable works. All submissions must observe the standards of scholarly writing, maintain originality, and adhere to recognized principles of academic style—both in Persian and in the preparation of English abstracts.
The journal welcomes contributions from across the field of philosophy, with particular attention to the intellectual heritage of Iran and the East. Its scope includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
