Sheikh Shahabuddin Suhrawardi has been influenced by the thoughts of Greece and ancient Persia before Islam, as well as the thoughts of the Islamic period, especially the works of Sufism and the philosophy of Persia, in shaping its illuminative wisdom. From pre-Islamic Greek sources, the Pythagorean and Platonic schools He referred to Iranian sources for a series of ancient scholars, some of whom were wise men and masterpieces of the story, such as Keykhosrow, Kiyomars, Fereydoun and JamshidSuhrawardi is familiar with ways of pre-Islamic Iran's beliefs: one through the treatment of Zoroastrians who were still in the corners of Iran and meeting with the priests and going to the Zoroastrian fire temples and others through the study of works by language Pahlavi were translated into Arabic or Persian and also by studying works such as Tabari date, Shahnameh, Ferdowsi, al-Fahrst ibn al-Nidim, works of al-Baqiyah al-Biruni, Nahl al-Shahrastānī and others.
According to the above, Suhrawardi uses hints and terms from the sources mentioned above, especially from the source of ancient Persia and Zoroastrianism. Terms such as Light and Darkness, Amishaspandan, or the Lord of all kinds ... are trying to do this short time. Which deals with the expressions related to Iranian sources of Suhrawardi's thoughts, which has been very effective in shaping his philosophy.
