چکیده
عنوان مقاله [English]
For Descartes, there are two basic signs to distinct between human beings and animal-machine: using language and the variety of human behavior. Using language by humans is always novel, free from control by external stimuli and appropriates to a specific situation, any animal-machine unable to show such a thing. Descartes think these features are gifted from God. Chomsky formulates these features as creative aspect of language use. He believes that the main problem, entitled as Descartes’ problem, is how or why we choose a certain sentence. Chomsky says that he does not know a proper solution but he does not accept a spiritual essence that was Descartes’ solution. Since this problem does not have a strict answer, present critiques attack the assumptions that allow Chomsky providing such a problem. The purpose of this paper is review on some Chomsky’s claims that stand on these assumptions. In this paper, Descartes’ problem is explained from both Descartes’ and Chomsky’s point of view, next some questions that are usually asked Chomsky to answer them are presented and follow to it, his answers is reviewed. Finally a few questions (critiques) of some Descartes problem assumptions from this paper outlook are exhibited
