Some historians of philosophy consider Greek thought to be a vision-based theory of knowledge. Since one of the cornerstones of the epistemic geometry of Islamic philosophy is Greek thought, the writers have come up with the question of whether the recognition of vision-based can be seen in the course of thinking by Islamic philosophers? Many of the words used in logic and philosophy, such as imagination (Tasawor), form (Surat), objective existence (Wojud eyni), appearance (Zohur), explanation (Tabyin), etc., are the corollary and confirmatory of such cognition. In this essay, the authors have limited their research to the issue of the mental existence of Mulla Sadra and they are concerned with the fact that our knowledge and experience are not only affect the effect of apparent senses, but more than any other senses that are influenced by vision. Mulla Sadra, in positions, especially rational forms, tries to avoid the sense-based (and the vision-based) based on the ontological and epistemological system of his philosophy, But it seems that if his words are examined in his mental existence theory, he also faces serious challenges within the system. According to the authors, the category of knowledge in the philosophical system of Mulla Sadra, at least based on what is said in mental existence theory, is influenced by the senses of external information and more than other senses are affected by vision, and this point, in addition to particularities, includes unversals.
